A long shot but here goes: I lost my GPS device approximately 1km from the top of the Yoddlers Cascade Valley. I have marked the general area in attached.

Note to self: tether your GPS device to your bag when stowed.

Will be heading up there in the beginning of August. Will keep an eye out for it. Hopfully it doesn't snow too much before then though, otherwise the chances of finding it will be very very slim!

Thanks. I am almost 100% sure it fell out my backpack top pocket when I filled my bladder as the stream started dwindling towards the top of the ridge. It will be miracle if its found!

I will try to download my watch GPS track. Should make it quite easy then since I crossed the stream right after refilling the bladder.

Your track will definitely help. The fact that it is grey not so much.
I have found a friend's GPS a few years ago by backtracking to where we stopped for a lunch break. Was an 8km round trip but it was definitely worth it. His was a burnt orange type of colour, which made it easier to see. So, it can be done! :-)

There's something a little ironic about a GPS being lost. I just can't quite place what it is.

Had it not been for being solo and having to backtrack 4km through snow while chasing darkness I would have gone back because I am very sure where it is.

Hope it gets found BergAttie!

Don’t take my post too seriously. A lost gps when gps help us get unlost was the irony.
And it reminded me of the first time I switched on my first ever gps and the question that first appeared on the screen was ‘enter your position’. They’ve since got better.
